A recent comment on Reddit.com about another article of mine concerning the prophetic message of Mary Had A Little Lamb sparked this post and the link to a news story about how children are now being told they can’t even read their Bible at school anymore! It was also mentioned in the forum that this was an “isolated incident” to which I replied that where you can see one roach, there are thousands behind the walls that you can’t.
Now this is ridiculousness in overdrive since we already had to deal with big government and small-but-hyper-vocal minorities telling school boards and teachers that they had to check their (Christian) religious beliefs at door. How can someone truly separate themselves from their belief system?
Of course this acts as a beacon for the usual pseudo-argument about how would I like a teacher allowing a kid to bust out the Qu’ran and start praying aloud to Allah, to which I reply: This country wasn’t founded by Muslims. The United States was founded by a majority of Christians. This notion is hated by those who get violently ill when exposed to the truth like Superman to Kryptonite.
Other religions should only be allowed to enjoy the freedom to express their religion if we get to first – since we were first. However, religions like Islam are still catered to like a VIP guest at the White House (fodder for a conspiracy theory much?) and we’re shoved in the closet. (Interesting side note: Most evidence shows that the first Muslims arrived here via slave ships in the late 18th or early 19th centuries – long after this country was created.)
In some rough places overseas, people are killed for not observing Islam. Here in the states, we just want to carry on the tradition of praying to God in Jesus’ name like people did from the jump without having to hide or apologize for it.
Anyhoo, read this article from BreitBart.com:
