God wants us to be different from everyone else. Now that doesn’t mean be “weird” but it does mean to be “righteous.” Because God is the epitome of Holy, and we are His adopted children, hence we are obligated, as representatives of the Kingdom, to act right at all times – public and private. When we do, we become above reproach and sanctified.
“You shall consecrate yourselves therefore and be holy, for I am the Lord your God. You shall keep My statutes and practice them; I am the Lord who sanctifies you.” – Leviticus 20:7-8
